Case Study

The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) contracted Successful Graduate to develop several bespoke microcredentials for Study Australia. These microcredentials support the acquisition of international students to Australia with the reopening of its borders. They are officially recognised by the Australian Government.

Study Australia is the arm of the Australian Government that is responsible for marketing Australia as a student destination. Our microcredentials have been launched as part of the Study Australia Digital Education Hub, and form important elements of the Study Australia Employability Hub strategy.

These microcredentials are free of charge to all international students: graduates, current and prospective; onshore and offshore. Upon completion, students will receive a digital certificate that can be shared with professional networks, such as LinkedIn and potential employers.

This new suite of microcredentials, alongside a growing range of other digital resources and services, are designed to support ongoing engagement with Australia’s global student community and to add value to an Australian qualification, enhance the student experience, and facilitate work-and-study and graduate outcomes.

Bespoke courses built with the client.

Materials for this platform were largely written from a blank sheet of paper, meeting the needs of the client during changing circumstances.

The platform has been prepared by Successful Graduate as a subdomain of the official Study Australia government website.

We have also been contracted to build a second Austrade site to support Study Australia in China. Our video materials for this site have been translated with Simplified Chinese subtitles.

Academic Readiness Microcredential

The Academic Readiness Microcredential teaches new students about the academic requirements of the Australian education system.

It is designed to support students with their decision to study in Australia, while preparing them for a more rewarding study experience.

Work Readiness Microcredential

The Work Readiness Microcredential provides a high level outline of how students can apply for work following their Australian education experience.

It is designed to encourage students to study in Australia, and supplement their formal education with an understanding about the job application process.

The platform has been delivered as a signature piece of the Study Australia Employability Hub, which is designed to encourage international students to enrol for an Australian education.
